A Dreich Day at Callanish, Isle of Lewis

It was dreich. And Callanish is an exposed place. Deliberately so. Not much point in building a place like that where noone can see it. It’s actually one of several stone circles and stone avenues in the surrounding area.

Dreich: A combination of dull, overcast, drizzly, cold, misty and miserable weather. At least 4 of the above adjectives must apply before the weather is truly dreich. (Urban Dictionary) We definitely had the first four of the above…. still not truly miserable though. Partly because of the place, partly because of the nearby cafe options 🙂
